The San Francisco and Saigon connect is the goal. The fun comes for free. Like me having a huge pimple on my nose that makes me look like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.
My goal is simple, fairly defined, and constantly changing.
My ideal situation is to be based out of San Francisco for 3 months out of the year and Saigon for the other 9. I'd be paid like I was working in the Bay area but without the extreme cost of living here and able to save up money.
More importantly though, I would be able to do what I love which is traveling and working with others with some limitations. I'd love to find customers here in the Bay area looking to mass produce products or cool inventions and go work with Vietnamese factories to produce, move, and sell them internationally.
I'd also love to go to Vietnam and hand carry precious diamonds back by hand to the US for luxury jewelry makers because they trust me... And because I get a percentage of the value of the diamonds as pay.
I'd love to help companies here in the US who want to do great things like build schools or fund orphanages in Vietnam, maybe due to Agent Orange (I don't know) but overall just want to do something positive for Vietnam. I could go there and make sure the funds are properly allocated to directly helping those who need help the most. I'll live in the country side, blog about learning how to build a school by hand with a bunch of locals and show those who donated or contributed that this is what they'e made possible. A win win situation for everyone.
I'd love to help companies who want to do business in Vietnam learn the culture and how to setup operations within the country. Whether it be through outsourcing software development, customer service, or just some admin duties. Data entry! Every data entry job in America should be done overseas.
Who is screaming I WANT THAT SAN FRANCISCO TO SAIGON CONNECT!!
